Lena is a Russian domesticated fox, so that in an of itself makes her unique... She was bred as part of the Russian fox program at the Institute of Cytology and Genetics in Novosibirsk, RU. These special genetics make her friendlier with humans and exhibit less aggression and fear response than normal foxes. But this girl stands out in a crowd!!! She is more confident, less reactive, more engaging, and overall a superstar!! Did we mention she has a special gene mutation called the Star Mutation? . Yes, this is a gene associated with domestication. And honestly, all that doesn’t matter as much as how Lena will be able to speak and be the voice for her captive and wild born counterparts!! Through her ability to connect with people, interact with people, bond with people through our programs, she will have an impact on the intensity to which every single person she meets fights for a fur free, cruelty free world.
