Dont know what the City Controller does?! They basically control purse strings and auditing how money is spent over various departments and programs in the city. Things like police, schools, unhoused services, etc. They make sure the money is being spent the RIGHT way. @kennethmejiala Also wants to make sure that Angelinos are aware of city budgets and wants to break them down in a way we can ALL understand, not by making it so confusing that average citizens give up. Leading finance classes is also a big goal, so we can be in charge of our own finances as well! He also works with our unhoused neighbors here in the city, advocating for resources and services!
