We have lost a pioneering icon of Jamaican music culture, Ewart Beckford affectionately known as Daddy U Roy, the God Father of Dancehall. His legendary ‘toasting’ on sound systems is the precursor to today’s Deejays & Rappers.

We remain sooooo thankful that we honoured him in November 2019 during the 10th anniversary of #Reeewind in New York, an @irishandchin event.

Condolences to his family and all industry colleagues, his legacy shall live on🙏🏾
