He was originally working with my mentor, but she was pretty far along in her pregnancy so I started to take over some of those responsibilities. We worked together on this paper virtually, via email and phone conversations, but had never met in person. . Not long after, the Agency launched its first ever Career Analyst Program (CAP), which has since become a core pillar of the #CIA analyst’s onboarding process. We met in-person for the very first time in this class. Our class was taking a trip out of state as a part of the program and I was asking around about digital cameras – I wanted to buy one so that I could take some photos. He mentioned that he needed one too, so we decided to go out together that day after class. We went to Best Buy and then out to dinner afterwards. I guess you could say that was our first date. Romantic, right? . When our daughter was in kindergarten, we brought her in to give her a tour of the building for ‘Bring Your Child to Work Day.’ A few things popped up for the both of us, and we had to run into separate meetings unexpectedly, so a colleague offered to watch her for a bit. We didn’t think much of it at the time, we were just thankful he could keep an eye on her. Well, the next day we received an email from her teacher. In it, the teacher said “she had a great day at ‘Bring Your Child to Work Day,’ she told us all about it in class. She especially liked the body armor and flamethrowers you showed her.
