Aesop Oscar Freire: curvilinear concrete and sensual minimalism.
Our first store in São Paulo was designed with Pritzker Prize laureate Paulo Mendes da Rocha and his frequent collaborators @metroarquitetos. Honouring the city’s brutalist landmarks, the interior is dominated by concrete and steel: cool materials that offer respite from the tropical climate. Interlocking geometric floor tiles contrast with the curves of the cantilevered concrete countertop—an invitation to walk around this central islet and let fingertips run across its polished surface.
