#WorkOfTheWeek by Ethel Sands reminds us that tea with friends will return. ☕
​The painting shows the artist's two lifelong friends, painters Walter Sickert and Nan Hudson. The tea is set for three and, as they wait for the kettle, with the teapot lid open, Sands has seemingly left the sofa to paint the scene—the result, a charming record of a cherished and pleasurable time.
