Lost for decades, these stunning color photos of eight African countries in the 1950s have finally been published. The United Nations sent photographer Todd Webb to capture these regions during a period of rapid industrialization, but the pictures he came back with—now in a stunning new book, Todd Webb in Africa—included beauty, fashion, jubilation, and much more.
