Happy Anniversary @iamsimonemoro @urubkodenis !!! Ten years ago today, I was fortunate enough to do the first winter ascent of Gasherbrum II with two of my heroes. I can't express the gratitude I felt then and every day since for the opportunity, the mentorship, the patience, and the brotherhood. This trip changed so much in my life...I see the trajectory as a gift and blessing for which I still feel shocked and unworthy. So many better, more experienced climbers could've been there. So much could've happened differently. But it didn't and here we are. In the decade since, all the remaining Pakistani 8000m peaks have seen monumental winter ascents, culminating this year with K2. I feel so honored to be a small part of this Himalayan story and so grateful for what it has taught me. Thank you Simone and Den...for life.
