I first decided to try microneedling after hearing about how it helps improve the skin by creating small wounds on your face so that your body will create more collagen and elastin = more glowy skin. I’ve struggled with acne since I was a teenager and while that has improved a lot over the years, I have enlarged pores and scars. My overall experience was NOT painful at all and if you know me, you know I’m TERRIFIED of needles. They put numbing cream on your face, so that helps a lot! It felt sorta like a gentle vibration on the skin. My skin was pink and peeling for the first 2 days- felt just like a sun burn. The peeling lasted about a week! Initially I did not notice a huge difference, as this is something that can take up to four to six weeks since it takes time for your body to create new & healthy collagen. I noticed this weekend that my makeup applied more smoothly and the pores around my cheeks look smaller. The scars on my chin from hormonal acne looks slightly lighter and I noticed I used less concealer in that area. Overall, I’m happy with my results after just one session! I was told most people see the best results after 2-3 sessions, so I can’t wait for that! I did not expect this to be a magical treatment as skin care takes time and also depends on diet & lifestyle. I used to get facials twice a month when I was battling with lots of acne and that took months before things started clearing up. Thank you @facileskin for the amazing experience!
