#OSmoodboard Jack Nicholson and Peter Fonda in the cult counterculture indie movie Easy Rider (1969), also featuring Dennis Hopper. The script was written by Hopper and Fonda (the former also directed it) and the film was produced for roughly $400,000 by Bert Schneider and Bob Rafelson (who where behind The Monkees, if you're old enough to remember them). The crew consisted of 12 people. It grossed $60 million.

Nicholson was virtually unknown, but received an Oscar nomination for best supporting actor. His wardrobe in the film is genius - relaxed preppy tailoring meets too much Jim Beam - a sweet concoction. His beige linen suit worn with a contrast cotton tee, all very modern before its time. But then cool is just cool, whenever and wherever.
