FASCINATING FACTS - Toledo an artwork in Spanish style

The art of Damascus patterns goes back thousands of years. Today the decorative barrel is made from a single piece of 925 sterling silver. After the barrel is treated carefully in multiple steps, the motif is applied using a layer of gold. In the next step, the motif is etched on manually by a Pelikan goldsmith, with the filigree detail giving the motif a life of its own.
Every Toledo fountain pen is a unique piece made in Germany. Every one of them is a great masterpiece in itself, and a small piece of history.
