To empower artisanal diamond workers and community residents to raise income and improve living conditions, Diamonds for Peace is implementing beekeeping activities in Weasua town in Liberia.
As a part of the training course on basic beekeeping techniques held in partnership with Universal Outreach Foundation(@universaloutreach), diamond diggers and residents of Weasua learned how to make beehives (September 2020). Money donated by Mio Harutaka(@mioharutaka ), designer of the jewelry brand “MIO HARUTAKA,” was used for purchasing thick boards made of local wood to build beehives.

ダイヤモンド・フォー・ピースは、リベリア西部ウィズア村のダイヤモンド採掘者や地域の住民の、所得や生活環境の向上のために、養蜂事業の導入に取り組んでいます。
写真は、ユニバーサル・アウトリーチ・ファンデーション(@universaloutreach)とのパートナーシップによる養蜂基礎技術研修の一環で、ウィズア村の採掘労働者らが巣箱をつくる様子（昨年9月）。ジュエリーブランド「ミオ・ハルタカ（MIO HARUTAKA）」のデザイナーである春高未欧さん(@mioharutaka )からの寄付金を使って、巣箱をつくるための地元の木材による厚板を購入しました。
