Last month a great escape occurred at Chicago's O'Hare International Airport, when a three-month old kitten (British Shorthair for those wondering), who was on her way with a chaperone to her new home in Seattle, decided to explore the un-fur-miliar airport without telling anyone! Her chaperone thought that she was quietly asleep, so boarded the plane and off to Seattle "they" went. The kitten was alone until a passenger found her and handed her to one of our TSA Officers. Using CCTV footage, our claw-some TSA team was able to identify her chaperone and began to searching all the gates in the terminal! When the chaperone arrived in Seattle and realized the kitten was missing, she immediately contacted a representative at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport. Working with Delta Air Lines and TSA in Chicago, a paw-ssionate local animal care advocate was found and volunteered to look after the kitten as long as needed!
