For four years I have been going through an emotional and painful battle with myself trying to get rid of my tattoo that was covering a six inch scar. I got in a major car accident and almost died my freshman year of high school, so that is where the scar came from. The tattoo I had on my stomach was my security blanket from my adolescent insecurities. The tattoo made it worse because then I got made fun of for over 12 years of my life every single day about the tattoo. Now, it is almost gone. The pain of laser treatments, chemical peels, microneedling, looking bad for photoshoots and being bullied about it caused me depression. No one is perfect and no one knows the battles strangers suffer from day to day. Waking up today, I wanted to share this because I am not perfect. I’m no longer afraid to show my imperfections. I am a strong woman that has many battle stories of my life. This story is one of them...
