Camille Charriereさんのインスタグラム写真 - (Camille CharriereInstagram)「Some of you may have noticed (or not🤣) that i took a fortnight to reset **offline** after nye. I wanted to do this as 2020 was very intense —not just for me, but for all of us. That said, I usually never manage to commit to a proper digital detox for more than a few days (even when I desperately need one), as always get this inexplicable ‘urge’ (a polite way of referring to my iPhone addiction!) to come back online and share everything am doing. It’s as if I’ve convinced myself that taking time to be present IRL is going to negatively impact the career and space i have built online. Thankfully, that’s total BS. Social media, as we all know, is not real life... not even close! Taking a break from it all is really important for our mental health even, sorry, especially when we are not getting enough face time with our friends and fam, as these apps only give us the illusion of human connection. During these monotonous, politically charged, sometimes uplifting, but mostly scary, long, dark, boring, emotionally up & down January days, i found that removing the noise in the form of this endless stream of performative visuals and alarming news updates has really helped me focus on myself and the positives in my life (of which there are so many). I am able to appreciate what i have instead of focusing on what everyone else has and i do not. For anyone feeling overwhelmed, cutting the crap can do wonders. Instagram is not going away, don’t feel like you owe it to the world to keep up with this never-ending performance. Maybe its just me, but i certainly have felt like i have to.. So don’t be afraid to put up that ‘Donut Disturb’ sign. 🥟📵 Or not. You do you. ‼️CHOOSE LIFE‼️ ...thats a joke. Sort of 😜」1月21日 0時01分 - camillecharriere
