My friend’s approaching their yakudoshi (unlucky years) so we went to Kawasaki Daishi for a (socially distanced) ceremony to ward off bad luck and demons.

The ages considered unlucky yakudoshi years are 25, 42, and 61 for men, and 19, 33, and 37 for women. But there are regional variations and the age is usually calculated by the traditional Japanese system as being 1 from birth.

I’m not religious nor overly superstitious, but I believe in energy flows and this was good vibes.

(Also, did the iOS update alter color saturation??)
