Getting messages like these is such a great reminder of one of the biggest reasons why I'm pursuing golf. It always lifts up my spirits, especially when I'm feeling a little discouraged and it's continued to push me through a lot of down times. The real reason why I came out publicly is so I could make a difference in the lives of other people. I wanted people like me to know that they are not alone. To inspire and empower them to be their truest self. I feel like helping others has become my purpose and passion in my life. For a long time I was scared. Afraid to be myself and to live my life as an openly gay man. This journey has not been easy. It's taken a long time to know my worth and to really love myself (and it's still a work in progress). 😅 But I know that it all started once I accepted who I was. Seeing other people be authentic and visible had helped me to find my own strength. I hope to continue doing that for other people. To anyone who is battling their own demons, be kind to yourself.
