Another January brings with it the latest Fall 2021 shows. I always find these times something to look forward to as the fashion industry inspires art/design and vice versa. This latest Jeremy Scott collection is a perfect example. Taking inspiration from impressionist brush strokes, textiles are created with illusions of impasto light and shadow. The cinematic flair of the collection borrowes from 1940s noir films with trench coats, fedoras, and midnight purple hues. I wanted to play on this with the jagged noir cityscape in the background.
