Thanks to the shape and flexibility of the crevice brittlestar, this shy species can easily escape detection by hiding beneath rocks in tide pools or burying itself beneath the sand and mud. While they prefer to remain hidden, this brittlestar is considered to be quite active, moving quickly and with ease throughout their homerange. Motion is made possible thanks to the species’ long arms, which reach out in pairs and pull the brittlestar along the ocean floor.
