Today, we celebrate a pioneer in primatology on what would have been her 89th birthday. Dian Fossey, along with OFI's President & Founder Birutė Mary Galdikas and Jane Goodall, otherwise known as the #trimates, changed the way we look at #greatapes. Thanks to her conservation efforts and the continuing work of @savinggorillas, mountain #gorilla populations remain in Uganda, Rwanda, and the Democratic Republic of Congo.
