There’s nothing quite like the feeling of lacing up a pair of skates to glide across glassy patches of ice in some of Canada’s beloved ice rinks and trails. Whether it’s among the jagged peaks of the Rockies or just beyond the city streets of iconic cities, skating in Canada offers up one of the most blissful winter activities one can partake in. For a little inspiration for the future, we’re highlighting a couple of places we love skating at:⠀

Not only is this one of Canada’s longest skating trails it also has, on a typical year, a highly unique array of warming huts found along the trail. These huts not only provide a beautiful aesthetic amongst the snow and ice but also provide the perfect opportunity to warm up just before you set for your next jaunt. ⠀

No Canada skating list would be complete without this breathtaking turquoise lake nestled in the heart of the Canadian Rockies. Thanks to lower levels of light pollution in the area it’s highly recommended to try this rink on a clear night where you can see the stars twinkle high above while you float across this natural ice rink. ⠀
