On the East coast, New York may have the cachet, but in places like Nantucket; Franklin, New York; and Washington, D.C., a score of designers both new and established are proving that good style (and strong followings) can crop up anywhere.

Over in Wilmington, Delaware, @asata.maise (above)—who moved back to her home state more than a year ago—says that by collaborating with local creatives, “we create our own sense of community in our own hub.”
