Our founder, @treanapeake noticed these beautiful bowls being used by some of the women during a shea butter workshop she was teaching in northern Uganda and she asked to meet the collective of women who made them. These women were supporting their entire community with the sale of these bowls, but the remote location and lack of transportation limited their prospects severely. We formed a partnership that day to get their bowls to larger local markets (through the @obakkifoundation) and to grow a sustainable source of income. Today, we are releasing a limited collection online so we can share their beautiful work and story of resilience with you. THIS is why we do our work. THIS is why Obakki exists.
