If you follow me on Tiktok you may have seen the video Mom did about my adopted sister @orangetabbyginger. Here’s an update. Mom has been real busy with several time consuming family emergencies the past couple months on top of still trying to get settled in our new home state of Georgia. She’s hoping to have more spare time soon to post more frequently.
Meanwhile, Ginger has been dealing with an ear issue for the better part of a year with multiple vet visits and medications. Her new vet found a soft tissue mass VERY close to her eardrum which has never been mentioned by previous vets so it must be growing. There is a narrow area where bacteria keeps getting and causing infections. The video tells the rest but we still need to get to @universityofga (our vet’s alma mater) to let them do a CT scan or MRI as well as hopefully remove the mass. He feels they’re best equipped to take over. Mom is hoping it’s just a benign polyp & that the pressure from its growth is at the root of the hearing and vision issues. We are not sure if the antibiotic caused a side effect for sure. Getting to UGA the soonest we can will give us those answers. She is on a wait list but is not considered emergent so we patiently but anxiously wait. Please keep my older sister in your purrayers. Her 15th b-day is next week and getting to UGA would be the best b-day gift ever so she can get all the way better. Did you notice she has 2 different color eyes like me now? 💚🧡
