1994年に誕生した名作エア マックス2 ライトがオリジナルバージョンをほぼ忠実に再現した形で待望の復刻。1つのAirユニットに2種類の圧力システム通称マルチチャンバーエアを初搭載したモデルであり、のちにそれらはAIR MAX 95にも採用されることになります。今回のデザインコンセプトは、90年代の様々なカルチャーが交差していた時代背景から、独創的なポップなカラーリングを採用。雑誌や広告チラシ、ポスターなどを切り貼りしていたデザイナーの原体験も反映されおり、前作のド派手なカラーウェイが特徴的なマルチカラーとは一変し、今回はブラックを基調としながらもロゴに蛍光色を使用した秀逸なカラーリングで登場。
