2020. It was a year to reset. It was surprising to the whole world and definitely a suffering year for the performing arts industry. But it made me look at life from a different angle and in a bigger picture.
What I’m most grateful about 2020 is @sfballet caring about dancers. All year around, they worked very hard to find ways to protect dancers and got us back into the studio and virtually on stage safely even though we are in one of the most strict lockdown state/city in the country. I can’t thank enough for their effort to fight for dancer’s happiness which is to be ON STAGE. I feel very lucky to be a part of SFB family 💛

2021 on will be a new beginning. I want to be open and flexible to changes and be able to quickly adapt to whatever comes in front of us.

2020年はリセットの年でしたね。世界中が驚きの連続。そしてパフォーミングアーツ界にとっては今までにない痛い年となりました。私自身、バレエダンサーとして踊れない苦痛を味わった年。でも2020年から学ばせてもらった事は人生を違う角度から、そして大きな視野で見るという事です。

今年一番感謝したいのはサンフランシスコバレエのダンサーを守りながらダンサーの生き甲斐 “舞台にでる” を、サンフランシスコ市の厳重なロックダウンに従いながらを実現してくださった事。莫大なエネルギーが必要だったと思います。本当にサンフランシスコバレエに移籍して良かった。

皆様に感謝をしながら2020年を見送りたいです。
