The rare Yuan dynasty scroll by artist Ren Renfa (1235-1327) shows a series of ‘Five Drunken Princes Returning on Horseback’. It became the most valuable ink painting ever sold at Sotheby’s Hong Kong, and the top lot sold by Sotheby’s Hong Kong this year, when it eventually sold for US $40 million.
