How did @gerenewableenergy’s #HaliadeX become the world’s most powerful offshore wind turbine in operation?

Well in part, it’s because of the massive turbine blades produced by @lmwindpower.

Clocking in at 107 meters long, these blades are a force to be reckoned with. And not exactly the easiest to make.

To help give load-carrying parts of the blade a combination of high stiffness and low mass, skilled workers use a special hybrid fabric woven from fiberglass and carbon fiber.

The result? Blades that are just as beautiful as they are functional.
