You’re an activist by default,” explains @archmadekwe, a 25-year-old actor from London who wants to use his voice to change the perceptions of POC on screen and increase representation behind the camera.⁣ ⁣ Archie’s life was changed by his education in the arts, and now he wants to help to change the lives of youth offenders and young people in and around the justice system. Through his project, Archie seeks to break down the traditional inaccessibility of TV, film and theatre, supporting young adults with training and opportunities.⁣ ⁣ “I believe we’ll be unlocking a door that’s been closed to a lot of young people. I’m hoping we ⁣can positively change their lives and give them something tangible to work towards.”⁣ ⁣ As a part of our commitment to stand with youth in action, we are supporting Archie through a progress fund to bring his project to life.
