Once upon a snowy morning,
He woke up with disbelief in his eyes,
For after years of running behind his dreams,
He almost forgot to realise
That he had been living in them,
A little more
With each passing day.

So he stood up,
With a smile,
And walked out of the door
To walk upon the wet grass,
Toes freezing,
And yet the warmth of happiness encapsulated him,
For the beauty he chased
Was there to be found,
And all he needed was to open the door,
To the world outside.
