If I knew how to do my own makeup I’d undoubtedly be catwalk ready doing my dishes everyday because of the sheer novelty of just looking banging! I love how we all have the freedom to be chameleons in life, changing our appearance, experiment with style and adjust our look to suit our mood or occasion. For the majority of my time I’m rocking gymwear, tying my hair up out of the way and swerving makeup because I’ll just sweat it off during training anyway, but when I make an effort I really enjoy and appreciate it so much more. Dressing well, treating yourself well and looking and feeling your best is an essential balance in life that we all need to have as if we’re either always casual or always glam we will lack the complete other side of life, perspective and our identity. We need to start by accepting our imperfections, being comfortable in our skin with the lights on or off and feel good enough at our perceived “best” and “worst” because the total package makes us who we are. I love experiencing the level of comfort when you can just be wholeheartedly yourself around others without fear of judgement or criticism - wether you’re being super sexy in something slinky feeling a million dollars and oozing sexuality or cute and sweet in oversized hoodies and chunky cartoon slippers with messy hair and no makeup - rock what makes you the beautifully individual soul that you are.
