Looking through old archives I found this very natural image I shot of Yohji Yamamoto in Paris around 5 years ago. Yohji was such a big influence on me when I was just learning about fashion in the early 80s. There was a very specific moment in 1987 when all I wanted to wear was Yohji or anything I could find in Bloomington IN thrift shops that could pass for Yohji. I still think he’s one of the true masters of fashion! (Oops! It wasn’t five years ago, it was twelve years ago 💁🏼‍♂️)
