Where is the female version of the Silicon Valley hoodie or Steve Job’s black turtleneck? I feel like, as women, we must show up in a way that is perceived as “traditionally professional” to be taken seriously. My clothing is an expression of who I am as a person. It has zero connection to my ability in the boardroom or my credibility as an academic. I want to see more diversity in what is considered “professional attire” for women while also seeing societal definitions of women evolve and eventually dissolve completely.” @the.power.in.no
