On December 14, another spectacular total solar eclipse is coming, this time in southern Chile and Argentina. The totality lasts about two minutes. The much longer partial eclipse phase will be also visible from Bolivia, Brazil, Ecuador, Paraguay, Peru, and Uruguay. There are usually tours and research expeditions for every total eclipse that bring major tourist flows to the narrow band of moon's shadow on Earth, but a few people are expected to travel internationally for this one as the pandemic continues.
