Gratefully, I was in a position to afford a trainer to do so. I called on fitness instructor extraordinaire, Ron Mathews, who helped me achieve my fitness goals and then some. When it came time to shoot the cover of this magazine I was in the best physical condition I had ever been in in my life. I never felt more confident in my skin, more empowered as a working Mother or physically strong. The strength was earned in sweat and discipline. -God that felt good! 2020 has had a lot of takeaways. Getting back to peak fitness is a priority. Not just for aesthetics but as a mental release, to ward off aches and pains that set in when I’m less active and lastly, for power and strength.
