There’s some precedent for gritty Christmas television, but Sunday’s installment of @euphoria was unique in the simple trust it placed in its own concept. The bottle-episode format is nothing new, but for a show that has largely revolved around drugs, sex, and drama, it takes no small amount of courage to devote a full hour to a conversation about addiction, loss, grief, and all the things that society has taught us to politely ignore during the holiday season.
