Like many people, I became aware of Jane Elliott when clips from her old workshops began circulating on social media in the weeks following the killing of George Floyd. The more I learned about Jane and her work as an educator, the more fascinated I became by her perspectives on race in America. It was disappointing to not be able to meet her in person this summer, but we sent an amazing photographer from Minneapolis @rtsongphoto down to Jane’s family farm in Indiana to take socially distanced portraits for our interview with her in All-American XX: Coming Home.
