“I am often inspired the most by discovering how things work and trying to re-create that process inside of the 3D world,” says creative director Lukas Vojir (@lukasvojir).⁣

“It has a lot to do with asking an interesting ‘what if’ question at the start. I love that 3D allows for a mix of so many different disciplines, even as an individual or a small collective you can achieve so much with CGI that would otherwise just not be possible,” says Lukas, who collaborates with his partner Alexa Sirbu (@alexa_sirbu) through their studio XK studio (@xk.studio).⁣

“My fascination with how things move and Alexa’s talent in how things look and feel makes it work,” says Lukas. “‘0% Food’ series was one of the launching projects of XK studio. The inspiration was fascination with different qualities of food — the mechanics of how certain dishes are put together and the oozing, satisfying look to it. I think what defines our approach is the focus on mesmerizing motion; it can be something very simple in terms of an idea or shape and texture but the way it moves mustn’t let you go and just scroll or swipe past it.”⁣
