올해 7월부터 프로모션 클래스로 준비했던 새 영상이 드디어 나왔습니다.
장마, 태풍, 코로나 2.5단계 등으로 미루고 밀렸지만
모두가 참을성 있게 기다려주고 도와준 덕분에 제 머리속에 또 하나의 그림을 만들 수 있었어요.

저는 한국인 그리고 동양인으로써 살아가면서 안타깝게도 다양한 인종차별을 겪었습니다.
많은 흑인들 그리고 우리가 모르는 사이에도 다양한 인종들이 무차별로 죽어가고 있습니다.
#Blacklivesmatter 이라는 시위가 일어났을 때 함께 목소리를 내고 싶다고 생각했고, 저의 작품으로 경각심을 심어주고 싶었어요.
이 차별은 ‘인종’뿐만 아니라 가까운 우리 사회에서도 흔히 느낄 수 있다고 생각합니다.
학교나 직장 혹은 작은 단체들까지도 차별은 쉽게 일어나죠.
우리가 그 것을 모두 없앨 수 있다면 좋겠지만.. 이 영상에서는 ‘스스로 강하게’라는 의미를 담고 있습니다.
그동안 겪었던 모든 차별의 끝에 저는 스스로를 지켜야 한다고 생각했어요.
스스로를 지키기 위해 독립했고, 이 것을 아이들에게 가르칩니다 ‘그 누구도 너를 함부로 대하지 못하게 해’ 라고!
여러분도 스스로를 지킬 수 있는 힘을 갖길 바래요.
그것이 나의 힘이고 우리의 힘입니다.

I am finally releasing a new video that I have been preparing since July through the promotion classes.

The rainy season, typhoon, Corona 2.5 stage, and other such unfortunate events have been pushing back this release,
But everyone waited so patiently and many helped me out, so I was able to create another picture in my head.

Unfortunately, I have experienced racism, as I lived as a Korean and an Asian.
Many black people and many different races are dying indiscriminately without our knowledge.

I wanted to speak out together when protest #Blacklivesmatter happened, and I wanted to instill awareness with my work.
I think discrimination is not only within races but also around us in society.
Discrimination is around us: in schools, workplaces, and even in small organizations.
It would be nice if we could get rid of them altogether, but... The message of this video is 'staying strong, independently'
After all the discrimination I've been through, I concluded that I myself should protect me.
I am flying solo to protect myself, and I teach this to the children: "Do not let anyone walk over you!"
I hope you have the power to protect yourself too.
That is my strength and our strength.
