Taking a nod from these two to lounge more often with those we love. 💕
Born November 24, 1864, Henri Toulouse-Lautrec made a series of paintings between 1892 and 1896 inspired by the women he met in the Parisian brothels.
He tried first sketching in-situ, but he struggled with the low-lighting conditions and soon invited his models to pose in his studio.
Lautrec appreciated the naturalness of sitters like this lesbian couple, "who stretch themselves out on the divans…entirely without pretensions."
