After her first flight at the age of 12, she developed a curiosity for flying and wanted to know how everything worked. This led her to going to school and pursuing her dreams of becoming a pilot. Monique said many people in the airport / on flights assume she is a flight attendant, and based on the statistics, it’s no wonder why. Only 3% of pilots are black, and only 7% of pilots are women.
