I shoot fully manual but predict my settings walking out the door and quickly adjust for each exposure and specific composition. On this particular morning, the flowers had begun to fully bloom, the entire fence was sprinkled with flowers of all kinds. In all corners of my eye, I spotted an unusual figure centered in one of these flowers, so I gently approached. With macro photography sometimes time isn’t a given, you often don’t have that extra second to set up your tripod and get the framing just right, so I opt straight for handheld with the vibration stabilizer built into the lens.
