Been a while since you smiled like that with a half read book by your side, which has been lying there since you slept last night while stargazing, and trying to identify those constellations that you read about in a book gifted to you on one of your birthdays. It’s been a while since you took off that watch for you no longer needed to bind your life according to the time on it, and can stare at far away villages for hours, before getting up and taking another trail for the day in search of that hidden waterfall, which locals couldn’t stop talking about. Isn’t it what you dream about these days? Waking up on your warm mornings as the winters are beginning to hit those slopes, and snow flurries can now be seen floating down the sky to perch themselves on last of the blooms, before it’s all white once again. The sounds of crackling wood from the fireplace, the smell of hot chocolate, the comfort of same old conversations with those few mountain friends, and the days that’d float by without any need to remember which day it is, or which hour you’re breathing in.
