Because he was a fish and couldn't breath in the air whenever he went water skiing he had to hold his breath the whole time. One time when he was racing he held his breath for three and a half minutes and as he crossed the finish line he passed out but luckily when he did he flopped into the water and he was revived by the cool watery water that enveloped him. That race was when he became the national waterskiing champion and also his last race because after that he retired from waterskiing.
