Amanda and I are very optimistic about the future. We have taken a step in the right direction as a country but it certainly is not the time to be complacent or to ignore how far we still must go.

We have been devastated about the ongoing discrimination against people of color and especially the Black community.

We as a country have benefitted from the lives of Black people and the systems that oppressed them for centuries.

We made this piece to raise awareness about the way the world idolizes Black culture and Black athletes, but perpetuates institutional and structural racism.

We need to continue to take action and keep working to dismantle those structures and systems, so we are auctioning this piece with all the money going to the NAACP. The NAACP is striving to ensure a society in which all individuals have equal rights without discrimination based on race.
