A lil break break from self promotion here...sharing a sweet moment with a hermit thrush I revived the other day, after she smacked into a window. I immediately scooped her from the ground, put her to my chest to be near my heart, to be warm and we slowly fed her water. Think she was grateful and enjoying the attention before she happily flew off. I’ve always had a connection with birds, I sculpt and paint them but this was a rare and gifted encounter, that reminded me of my childhood when I’d rescue baby birds and keep them in my dresser drawer until they could go back into the wild 🧡🐦🧡
