気付けばもう11月ですね。
試合も終わり未だに身体のあちこちが張ってる気がしますが、試合後の反省点を補修レッスンしてニコニコな店主です。

話しは変わりますが、今週末の14日(土)から新たな展示、

彼の作品は見る毎に新たな発見と感覚を試される作品だなと思います。
そして、とてもナイスガイだなって。

Efrain Vivas

日本とベネズエラで育ち、近年はアムステルダムに居を移し活動。
彼の作り出すヴィジュアルは主にカラカスでの近代的な建築物や東京の広大なコンクリートジャングルにインスピレーションを受けて制作されている。

アムステルダでのインディペンデントな活動体験を通して、キャンバスという限定された支持体から外れ
街中に落ちている建築素材や友人から譲り受けた皮や扉などの日常素材を積極的にフレームやキャンバスに取り込み日常的な事柄も作品にしている。

Efrain Vivas is a Japanese/Venezuelan born artist that currently resides in Amsterdam.His artistic influences derive from the postmodern architecture of Caracas and the sprawling concrete jungle of tokyo.

As a promising, up and coming artist Vivas places a DIY mindset at the principle of his work. By constructing canvas frames out discarded materials he controls every element of his work.

今回はアムステルダムに引っ越して4年ぶりに東京に帰ってきて二箇所のギャラリ(salt and peppper, anagra)で個展をする中アムステルダムでロックダウン中に描いた絵１００枚以上を持ってき影と光を現しながら毎日の変化と身の回りの環境と経験を体験しつつこの２０２０年からどう人はアートを受け取るのかを見るのが楽しみ。

Efrain Vivas has returned from Amsterdam where he has worked extensively over the past 4 years. Now in his hometown Tokyo,
he is preparing to host exhibitions at "Salt and Pepper" and "Anagra". Under the Covid-19 lockdown protocols,
Vivas has produced over 100 paintings that explore the relationship between shadow and light.
Through experiencing changes in everyday life, Vivas is particularly interested in the shift of general perception of art in the post 2020 world.
