「SOMA BLUE
Never Fading Hope

100%紫外線をはじき「永遠に色あせない」、世界で200年ぶりの発見となった新しい青の顔料「インミンブルー」を、日本で初めて下絵薬として使ったタイル(製作：大堀相馬焼松永窯)は、相馬市内外の子どもから大人まで約500名の絵付けで完成しました。復興と共に生まれた「色あせない相馬の希望」が未来に継承されることを願ってここに設置します。東日本大震災以降、全国の支援者から届いた相馬の子どもたちの健やかな成長を願う声も同じくここに刻みます。

Two hundred years since the last discovery of a blue pigment, these tiles (manufactured by Ohori-Soma Matsunaga Pottery) were painted by a group of over 500 Soma children, residents, and supporters with the first glaze in Japan to ever utilize YInMnBlue. Completely resistant to UV light, it will never fade.
We hereby engrave this memorial for all future generations as a reminder of the Never Fading Hope of Soma that arose during the years of recovery from the Great East Japan Earthquake, as well as the voices from across the nation that continuously wish for the wellbeing of Soma children.
