The impact of our changing climate on coral reefs was again manifested by the third global bleaching event in 2015/16... It’s 2020 now and this summer I was very lucky to see this still healthy, colorful and lively corals in Iriomote, Japan. It hurts me to think that in few years this one may not exist anymore as well... Climate change is a difficult, complex topic that often feels overwhelming and distant. But the truth is we can all do something, even something as little as making sure we use reef safe sunscreen when going into ocean, using recycled fabric clothing, second-hand, skipping meat once a week or using reusable water bottle... anything but just something!
