Happy birthday to Richard Serra, who was born on this day, November 2, in San Francisco.

Earlier this year, Serra’s exhibition at Gagosian, West 21st Street, featured “Reverse Curve,” a sculpture measuring 99 feet long and 13 feet high. Originally conceived in 2005 for a public project in Reggio Emilia, Italy, “Reverse Curve” was finally realized for the first time. Follow the link in our bio for more.
